Their love story

Dani and Sarah are such a remarkable and loving couple. When they asked me to photograph their engagement at Lake Geneva in Switzerland, I was absolutely thrilled. Even more so, a few months after that session, they asked me to be their wedding photographer! I couldn’t have been happier that they chose me—not just for their civil wedding in Geneva but also for their marriage ceremony on the other side of the lake in France.

This short blog is about their beautiful civil ceremony, which took place at Chêne-Bougeries, Voirons in Geneva.

From the moment I photographed their engagement session, I could feel their love was truly one of a kind. I hoped they’d ask me to capture their wedding too because there was such a great connection between us. I believe it’s incredibly important for couples to feel comfortable with their photographer. Trust and rapport are key on both sides—when we connect, that’s when the magic happens, and we can create unforgettable memories together.

How the day started

Isabella (my amazing second photographer) and I arrived at Sarah's home, where she was accompanied by her mum and two of her best friends. She was getting ready with her makeup artist, and oh, she looked absolutely stunning that day. Her hair and makeup were flawless.

The groom

I believe it’s important to capture a few images of the groom as well. We arranged everything in a way that ensured neither Dani nor Sarah could see each other during this process. I took a few minutes to capture Dani’s emotions—he was happy, nervous, and excited all at once. He looked incredibly handsome and was also accompanied by two of his best friends.

The first look

Just a few minutes later, it was time for the first look. I could feel their anticipation and nervousness, but there was no need for concern—they both looked amazing. Then, the magic happened: they met and radiated happiness, as if all their worries had suddenly disappeared. They realized what a perfect day was unfolding. The sun was shining, the weather was perfect, and everyone was happy. What more could one ask for?
